November 19, 2020: Audition for Lima Symphony

Following a successful audition today, I was offered a trumpet job with the Lima Symphony in Lima, Ohio! Happy to be working with this great group going forward and see what this position brings.

November 5, 2020: Performance at ITG

My piece Aurae will be premiered virtually (although it has already been recorded) at the conference of the International Trumpet Guild this coming summer! I will be performing this work on video. Honored to be included in the ITG New Works concert.

May 16, 2020: Aurae, for trumpet alone to be released on CD and at summer trumpet institute

My new piece for unaccompanied trumpet, Aurae, is being recorded by Dr. Jason Dovel, professor of trumpet at the University of Kentucky, to be included in a forthcoming album release of music for unaccompanied trumpet. Aurae features extensive use of microtones and other effects, and is an excellent recital piece for players ranging from advanced undergraduates to professionals.

Sheet music of Aurae will be released for free to attendees of the four-day online event, the 2020 Summer Trumpet Institute at the University of Kentucky (click here to learn more). Check out Dr. Dovel’s performance on my Media page, and contact me for your copy of Aurae.

May 8, 2020: Thoughts on the Death of a Tree

A recording of my piece for euphonium or flugelhorn plus electronics, Thoughts on the Death of a Tree, is available now on my Media page. Thoughts is ideal for a performer getting into music with electronics - all that one needs is a pair of speakers or another way to play audio on stage. Contact me for the instrumental part and audio file for Thoughts.

January 11, 2020: Jubilation Overture premiere

My piece for orchestra, Jubilation Overture, a commission by the Sierra Vista Symphony, was premiered by the same orchestra on Saturday the 11th and well received by the audience. It was their 25th anniversary and I’m happy to have celebrated it with them. Congratulations, SVSO!
